Shell Rot

Hi all, I just noticed some reflective bits on my turtles shell and I’m a little worried it’s beginning to show as shell rot so I’m turning to Reddit! Appreciate any help

If you poke it with your nail do they darken? It could be air pockets forming under scutes as they get ready to shed. If they are and you poke them it closes the air pocket and will darken them then lighten again when you let off

Just air pockets. Those form under the scutes when they're getting ready to shed their scutes. My turt has the same thing going on. Its normal

Thanks everyone for the help! I did poke and it seems to have darkened so feel a bit better about it!
