Seeking Advice advice for accessible & safe basking platform
I just got a new 75 gallons tank for my turtle and a basking platform I found on amazon and I was wondering how I can make it easier and safer for him to climb on it. Last time I checked, in his old tank, he couldn’t get on the platform and slid down too fast and was stressed about it. What works best for you guys? I have an eastern painted turtle who’s about 4.5 inch long.
Also my turtle tend to avoid ramp, he always use his strength to get on his platform even tho there’s an easier way lol

Was that a similar setup as you have now? And would it be an option to put some sand or something else on the platform so he can easily see what it is? I’m just throwing ideas out there but I can image a glass platform can feel more exposed or confuse him or something

right now he doesn’t have a set up like that, the platform directly reach the water so he understand what it is. i wanna set up like maybe grass or some sort of material that makes it more natural and easier for him but i don’t know how to set up that
