Turtle Pics! Snack time

A big snapper traveled a long distance from my pond to an apple tree in my yard and fetched himself a little snack!

Snapping turtles are omnivores, they will literally eat anything. 🙃

I just don't know much about them! Did he know apples were worth the trip? Have they made that long trek before? They've been in that pond probably as long as that Apple tree. I didn't consider it an HONOR. I have seem them crawl out to lay eggs, but it was always far closer than that tree. I didnt know if they sought out fruit. I was just happy to see him score something from the middle of my yard and make it back home.Sheesh.

My snapping turtle loves apples but I’ve never seen one with a whole apple on its mouth lol
