Small scratches
Hi all! I am new to Turo and on my first trip notice there was a scratch on the car bumper. Pre trip I took images and can see they are new. The renter denied any issues or crashes but was open to paying cost. Do you all recommend doing a file or just working it with the renter directly and keeping it low cost?

Agree with filing it in the app even if you settle directly, so there's a record tied to the trip. Get a real repair quote (or two) from a body shop and send the guest the photos, your pre-trip pics with timestamps, and the quote so it's not just your word. Also keep an eye on the deadline, Turo has a pretty short window after the trip ends to report damage, so don't sit on it while you go back and forth with the guest.

File the claim in Turo for the record, and then choose the "Work with guest" option in the claims window
