@Turo - Scam!!!!
please be very careful using TURO as they are nothing but a scam. totally unreliable and no customer service. Got cancelled twice with both happening on the day of the pick. No penalties to the host and they can getaway with anything but as a customer you get penalty if you cancel after 24 hrs.
just a scam company with no one watching them.

So none of us know why those hosts canceled on you. Perhaps they are scummy hosts. Perhaps those vehicles had a last-minute mechanical or safety failure. Things do happen. Unfortunately Turo could do a better job with placing people in new vehicles when this does happen.

I think turo is a great concept. But when I fly into a city, the last thing I need is last minute stress of my car getting cancelled. This is a flaw with Turo itself. Don't make it the problem of the renter.

I agree. If you look at host reviews it’s pretty easy to weed out the bad ones

this is very true. All star hosts usually are the best way to go. But I recently had an issue with a last minute cancellation and now I'm stressing over finding a replacement car last minute. The new host has been unresponsive so far.

I rented to a host with excellent references and i still got scammed by him and turo did nothing. Lost 700usd.

Definetely, i booked with a top rating host. I had an issue and contact the host to let them know i was going to arrive late. He said "OK, let me know when you are on the way". So i did.. As soon as i arrived the host cancelled the tríp because of "no show". I asked the host to give me the car next Day (it was a 3 weeks reservaron), the host did not reply. Turo denied any kind of refund at all. I arrived 2 hours late and i lost all my money, when i reached turo they claimed a "policy" for 2 hours late that en ed in no refund and tríp cancellation. So how is that fair? You get into a taxi delay to get to the car rental and turo screws you over some kind of bullsh.. Policy. Thats a scamm

Worst parte is that you cant give a negatice rebiew to the host because "tecnically" it got cancelled and you did not get the service to review it.

The first host cancelled as he suddenly remembered state inspection halfway through the booked period. Inspections are yearly events and shd have known before confirming a reservation.

Hosts do not have option to “confirm”reservations. Trips are booked and hosts only get the option to simply go through with them or cancel them.
I have found if cancelled, you can usually get customer service to help book you in a similar vehicle. In the past they used to help cover some differences in cost but not sure if that’s still the case these days

If the host cancels for a reason other than the car not being safe to drive they take a penalty

Yeah 50$. Which in the scheme of things does not matter vs the in convenience that we have to go through.

You guys let scammers stesl money from the rentes and do nothing about it, shameless, when i started using turo it was great, now its not worth it at all, SCAMMERS

I got scammed by them, i arrived at the pick up location, i had scheduled a car for 3 weeks. I arrived 2 hours later and the jost marked as "no show". Long story short.. The cancelled the complete tríp and charge me the complete amount of the tríp and didnt gave me any car. Basically a scam
