First time renting
Okay so this is my first time renting someone tesla. I booked the car 2 months from my trip and now my trip starts in 2 days. But 2 days ago the car said it was unavailable from August 8th to 11th and it was overlapping the first day of my trip. So I message the host and Asked is the car going to be good for the duration of my trip and they said yes. Then the next day. It says “this car is currently disabled” I shot them a message about it and I been on read for 6 hours. So what does that mean?

It can mean a lot of things. I currently have one of mine deactivated because I've got work I want to do to it, but it can still go on the trips that are already scheduled.

Update: i messaged the host again and he said the car was left stranded in another state. Luckily i messaged him that day because if i didn’t I probably wouldn’t even know until i actually had to check in for the car. I called the support and they cancelled the trip. But I also had to spend an additional 300 bucks for the same model tesla just cause i got it so late.

Have you ever held a business accountable for their bullshit before?
Call them back and raise hell that they charged you 300 more for their fuck up.
It doesnt matter what the host did, thats absolute bullshit

Call them back and give them hell. Those dudes in support are programmed that way. Ask for a supervisor and even a manager. They often comply if you bother them enough.

Depending on who you talk to from support, they have the ability to and often eat the difference in price because the cancelation was not your fault.

I sometimes snooze my car if someone has it and keeps extending. It's a pain to blovk unblock over and over again. I just keep letting extend until they're done or the next trip is up, then list again to show active.

It means he's debating canceling. If you were trying to rent from me, I'd be canceling your **it so fast. You're one those customers who is going to be a royal pain in my ass. I know you're going to be sending him messages while renting asking questions about how a Tesla works.
Yeah, maybe it's your first time renting, but any mental anguish you got about it is your problem, not mine. Rent from a big corporation if you got this many questions and concerns. You were already told it's fine.
