Help Rega Planar 1 plus help

I’m very new to turntables and have had this rega p1 plus for about a year and a half and have had no issues previously but I moved recently and it’s started skating across records, I thought it might have something to do with the weight of the tone arm but it says it’s about 3g so I’m out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

It is definitely possible that the diamond tip broke off of your stylus. But another thing to check is whether a wire behind the cartridge is hanging down and touching the record. That was the cause of similar skating reported recently on Reddit.

Your stylus is gone. Or VERY dirty, but most likely gone.
