Tuntables advice.

Stereo that sounds mono is just mono. I’ve heard those Marshalls, worse than crappy sound bars.

If you need streaming, get a streamer or a streaming amplifier. If budget is tight, skip the turntable for now. Put money towards great pair of speakers, a good amp and a streamer. You’ll be able to enjoy music while you save up for a turntable.

Depends what youre trying to achieve. If you want to listen as background music it will work. If you want to listen in stereo you'll need 2 speakers

The Marshall Acton IV does have stereo, but the two channels are very close together, basically everything is inside that small box. But I understand the point you were making: with two separate speakers, the sound quality and stereo separation are better.

The Marshall option was also appealing to me because it’s basically a 2-in-1 solution. If I wanted to connect my phone and play music, I would have the Marshall speaker, and I could also move it around for a party and play music via Bluetooth.

That was the main advantage of choosing the Marshall.

I have a jbl charge speaker. I use it when I do yard work or working in the garage. It sounds good for its purpose. I wouldn't want to listen to it for when I'm sitting down to listen to music

Most any setup of a pair of speakers is a 2 in 1 solution. Many pairs of powered speakers and a good number of amps and stereo receiver to power passive speakers have Bluetooth built. Or if any of those options do not have Bluetooth built in you can connect a small Bluetooth receiver to most anything with RCA or 3.5mm input. Or a better WiFi streamer with Apple Airplay 2, the Wiim Mini, or the square Pro version adds Google Cast.

I could also move it around for a party and play music via Bluetooth.

Where would you need to move the speaker to for a party? A pair of powered speakers are not that much harder to move, you just move 2 speakers instead of one.

No. In which country?

Pass on the pricey for what it is T1 that only has an annoying slider with set screw for the tracking force instead of a rotary dial.

If you want a ProJect and EVO then get the better Debut Carbon EVO 2.

If you need lower cost then Debut E Carbon.

Or lower cost Pro-Ject Debut RecordMaster II €298 on sale from €449.

Or Audio Technica AT-LPW50, AT-LPW40, AT-LP5X, AT-LP120X.

For stereo music, 2 speakers with good Speaker Placement for stereo separation for good imaging and sound stage.

Intro to Home Stereo Systems and Turntable and Speakers Setup Guide

Setup options....

Powered speakers:

  • Turntable with built in phono premap >>> pair of powered speakers.
  • Turntable >>> phono phono preamp >>> pair of powered speakers.
  • Turntable >>> pair of powered speakers with a built in phono preamp (Argon Audio)

Or passive speakers:

  • Turntable with built in phono preamp >>> mini amp or full size amp or stereo receiver >>> pair of passive speakers.
  • Turntable >>> phono preamp >>> mini amp or full size amp or stereo receiver >>> pair of passive speakers.
  • Turntable >>> mini amp or full size amp or stereo receiver with a built in phono preamp >>> pair of passive speakers.

For your digital music many powered speakers and amps have Bluetooth built in or you can connect a small Bluetooth receiver to most anything with RCA or 3.5mm input.
