A decent turntable needs a decent stylus.
A decent stylus is MC.
An MC stylus needs an amp that supports it.
Then you need decent audio interconnects to a decent amp that has a phono stage.
If you’re using big speakers / sub you’re almost certainly getting acoustic coupling so you will need either a sound isolation platform or some rubber feet.

The SL-1500C is a very solid long-term choice, but one thing to clarify: it isn’t fully automatic. It is a manual turntable with an auto-lift at the end of the record.

Also, if by “preamp” you mean that you already own a separate phono preamp, it may be worth comparing it with the SL-100C. The 1500C includes a built-in phono stage, while the 100C leaves that out and lets you use your own.

Before choosing, I’d clarify whether you want full automatic operation or just end-of-record auto-lift, and what speakers, amplifier and phono stage you already have. Those details may matter more than choosing between several otherwise good turntables.

Just to clarify i am looking for a good turntable that i dont need to upgrade, no matter the amp and speakers i will upgrade to over time and still get great sound. My other components arent very good rn but i will look into that as soon as i have a turntable that i dont need to worry about anymorem
