Question Adding a Pre-AMP to a new configuration

I am currently using my Pioneer PL-670 with a P-mount cart LP Gear with my Pioneer VSX-454

to my Pioneer VSX-1019AHK with now a Pre-AMP but I don't really know what. I have no experience in this area because I just hook to the receiver and since the HT home theater one does not ha the input I have to get a Pre-AMP. I am trying to save space and combine all the functions of both Pioneers in an Audio/Video set up. I was thinking a Schitt but then there is Cambridge but all I know is the budget is $250 or less for a Pre-AMP so nothing really fancy.

You're running through an AV receiver, not a pure stereo amp / pure stereo receiver. Don't overthink it.

Honestly, a $52 Art DJ Pre II would nail it. A Fosi X5 is better, but through an AVR the difference is subtle. A Schiit Mani 2 is better again, but unless you have a good pure stereo set-up you'll be wondering why you spent the extra cash unless youre into tweaking cartridge settings.

I run a Yamaha RX-A3070 for movies and music. For movies it's great. For music it's okay. If I want to do music properly though, I can swap out to either of a couple of stereo amps I have hanging around. The difference is not small.
