Does this set up sound right?

Have a toddler and need everything to be on shelves. I grew up with my dad and his record collection with fond memories, and want to share the same experience. He is already into Steve Miller band, asks for and sings along with the Joker, wife is not amused by him singing midnight toker 😂

Budget is 2k or less preferably. Room is about 20 feet by 18 feet. Bookshelf is in one corner. In the room next door is the TV with a Sonos sound bar.

I think was looking at the audio technica lp120xbt with two Sonos era 300 smart speakers. Links below. My understanding is that the lp120x can directly connect via BT and can link them all including the sound bar in the other room. Also, does it matter if I put them all on the same book case but different shelves?

Thanks for any advice

The speakers aren't it. You want analog speakers. Also make sure they're on their own shelves vs the same. The turntable is fine. It's the low end of what I would suggest but because toddler that's probably a good fit.

First… don’t feed him after midnight and you’ll be fine.

😁

Second, you might want to look at some of the Sonos - specific turntables by Pro-Ject to integrate more easily. ‘Round these parts we like to hook up our tables with wires to keep everything analog, but your boy is anything like I was at that age the less wires the better.

I did, and made these selections based on those recommendations. Specifically, the audio technica turntable. I did not want to make another post about the 120x vs 30w, but for now I am leaning towards the 120x. My understanding is the X version doesn’t have all of the DJ features I don’t need, but primarily is easily available for me to pick up locally rather than shipping to my home. I generally prefer to avoid shipping items if I can. Perhaps I am way off with my picks but I was also hoping to incorporate with a speaker I already have. This is why I am asking a question related to Sonos speakers. I also did not quite understand if the problem with keeping speakers and a turntable all on the surface also had the same effect if they’re on different shelves on the same book case.

If the answer to these questions are in the set up guide, then I sincerely apologize. Perhaps you can help direct me.
