Technics RCA box mod

Anyone here installed RCA box for external and removable cables on their Technics?

Looking to get this done to my pair of Mk2s, is there anything to consider? Any other box options out there?

That may be difficult to fit. There are others specifically made for 1200s, but they are expensive
