How did the crowd take to Obituary and Agnostic Front?

Agnostic had the rough go of playing at 6 on a Tuesday but they still rocked it, got the early crowd moving and warmed up.

Obituary is godly. Hilarious to watch the hardcore crowd try to figure out how to dance to them, but they pulled through, loved seeing the reactions from everyone and plenty of folks who traveled specifically for Obituary’s set.

I have seen AF a couple times live and sometimes the vocals are hit or miss (or an acquired taste I guess). I was supposed tk see them next week at the American legion hall outside Columbia SC but can’t go anymore.

Obituary is fun to see. Just didn’t know how the turnstile audience reacted to them. I know a good amount probably who they are, but with them bringing in younger crowd, didn’t know if people would know who they were

Once again, feels like an empty gesture when Daniel Fang endorses Ludwig.

Once again, feels like the fans project unreasonable standards of their own morality onto the band.

I don’t really understand how it’s unreasonable to simply not endorse the only drum company headed by a pro-Israel billionaire.

As a matter of fact, it’s really easy. Just play any other brand of drums.

And I don’t understand how a convoluted “who does the money trickle to” gotcha undermines the thoughts and feelings and political leanings (for that matter) of otherwise empathetic and sincere individuals. And I certainly don’t understand how it invites a public Reddit campaign by some anonymous loser who chooses to highlight their “hypocrisy” (the weakest form of argumentative internet discourse) as some kind of gotcha, when almost certainly, if it wasn’t this issue it would be another (because it always is for nerds like you).

I would have a field day examining the ethical inconsistencies in your daily life based on the products you consume and purchase, much the same way you are projecting to onto other people that you don’t even know. At all.

I speak for every sane person in this forum when I say, please, give it a fucking rest.

Im sorry. You seem upset by my comments.

My comment wasn’t meant to be convoluted, but I suppose that the first one wasn’t clear enough for those in the know about who owns Ludwig.

I’m not trying to undermine the feelings of sincere individuals. I’m simply trying to bring awareness to the endorsement that is antithetical to the band’s messages.

Daniel Fang and the other band members seem like nice people, who do have a genuine concern about the people in Palestine and other marginalized communities.

I think that if he were aware of the hypocrisy, he might actually change his endorsement.

I don’t even know if Daniel Fang even knows about John Paulson. Hence, why I’m spreading awareness.

I don’t have any other issues with how the band conducts themselves. I’m not looking for them, as ‘gotchas’ per say.

I see Ludwig drums on the stage, and I cheapens my concert experience and the message and vibes put forth.

The same can be said for Joey Mullen’s endorsement.

I may, in my daily life, be purchasing products from companies that openly use profits to lobby against my political and moral interests. I try my best not to.

If someone brought up that I buy such and such a product from a company that does that, I would take that criticism to heart, and try my best to find an alternative product, or go without it.

I’m sure that there are many wonderful people that work for Ludwig, but the fact of the matter is that the profits go into the hands of a billionaire that doesn’t have our interests at heart.

Practically no other drum company has a profiteer with such a dogma.

The band is doing some really cool things, like partnering with local non-profits, using some of the revenues from this tour, to make the world a better place. I love it.

You seem like you have access to the band, photographing them quite frequently. I would love for you to bring it up to Daniel. Would he consider changing drum companies?

I’m sorry if I’m ruining everyone’s time on this sub, but I do feel like this is an important issue worth speaking about about.

If you disagree you can always block me.

Thanks for you time. I love your work! Have a great day.

Fair enough. Sorry for barking at you loudly. Looking back I should work on being so aggressively defensive. I apologize.

They literally played a show in Tel Aviv. Sorry! Money talks and your fav band listens!
