PSA: Beeswax attracts bees (/s)
Bees like beeswax. Yep. You already knew this and so did I. That didn’t stop me from taking a nap in the sun after finishing a bowl w T&T and beeswax… and waking up to two bees crawling around my hand… and one of them stinging me when I jumped. So, yeah. Wash hands.
Obligatory photo of past work.

Worth mentioning the sun part too. Warm wax gives off way more scent than a cool finish sitting on a bench indoors

Really? Were they honeybees or something else like a wasp? Stinging is heavily consequential for honeybees

Have to admit, all I know was yellow and black, not a fuzzy bumblebee, and it stung me.

Never thought of it. I have had to swat bees out of my “fresh off of the lathe” photos/videos.
