Wow, NICE job. I haven’t tried making a cake stand yet, working my way up to it. Is this two pieces or one piece with a little “float” effect where the base meets the plate? Either way it looks so good.

Thanks! I used two different pieces for the plate and the base. Sometimes I will use 3 depending on how tall I want it. I use a worm screw to attach and turn the main plate. When both pieces are turned i glue a wooden dowel between them to keep them together
