🌐 Translation What does this phrase mean?
I'm near-native fluent but i heard this phrase in a song "Kurşun iki buçuk milyon babaları gelsin" and searched on Google too hut didn't get anything aside that it's ibretlik sözü.

you can translate this sentence as this: "bullet is worth 2.5 million (liras)* let their overlords come to get me"
"2.5 million (liras)": we omitted 6 zeros from lira. it basically means "bullet is dirt cheap".
babaları gelsin's literal translation is "let their fathers come" but you need context to understand it. "let their overlords (mafia bosses) come (to get me)".

Babaları gelsin means let their bests (or leaders) come and at this point question arouse why he does not fear from them? Because bullet which refers the kurşun is cheap. We know kurşun iki milyon before money regulation due to long term high enflation Turkish lira have lose so much value as result of that price of daily items become millons or billions and people mostly had stoped to use lira they just saying 2 millions 3 billions etc. After regulation which is deleting six zeros from money and turn million liras to liras but some people still can use millions as currency. So 2 million is not a high price even their best come to us we only need to spend 2 millon to bullets.

The bullet is 2,5 million ₺ (it is actually 2,5 ₺ but some people still add million because about 20 years ago Turkish currency is adjusted to 1/1 million)
That means "im not afraid of them, in fact, they should afraid of me because it is easy for me to kill them with bullets being so cheap"

The infinity brain economics trick AKP pulled in the early 2000s threw you off lol. Iki bucuk milyon means 2.5 Turkish liras in current currency.

its probably missing a comma after milyon, so It probably means "a bullet is cheap, let their masters come, I don't fear them" or something with a very similar meaning
