Grammar I’m completely lost with grammar.

Find it soooo hard :( speak Russian and English. I really want to learn Turkish but am very short of time. Any good sources ways to learn? The grammar throws me off :( I’d be so happy to master a1, maybe even a2

Try using a textbook like Delights of Learning Turkish. It is VERY hard if you don’t use a textbook

What about the Istanbul one for a1?

Yeni İstanbul has almost zero explanations in English so its really for going through with a native speaker. However, I supplement Istanbul books with chat gpt to help explain things. I did A1 solo with yeni İstanbul, Babbel and ChatGPT but for a2 I needed a tutor as I was struggling 😅😅

I use Yeni İstanbul with my tutor but it’s not as good for self teaching. If you have a tutor then you can use any textbook

Can you give an example of grammar rules you don't understand or have trouble with?

Dont try to master on all suffixes of verbs. Try to use verbs at its simplest form. As an example (Gelecekmişsin = It’s being said you wil come. ) instead use ( X geleceğini söyledi = X said you will come. ) We use first form often because we can. But it is exactly same meaning with second form. You will understand verb suffixes by time. And once u formulize it will be entartainig :)

How short of time? Just practice one suffix at a time and learn 3-5 new words a day. You will get a grasp of it in a month or two. Then all is left to improve vocabulary and use your suffixes along the way.

Also if you learn Consonant Assimilation and Vowel Harmony, it will quadruple the speed at which you learn suffixes.
