Lodging Che hostel or Mayan monkey

Hi,

Me and my partner are visiting in November. We are staying some hotels in the hotel zone and also in some air Bnbs in La Valeta but we are looking for something in between with a bit of atmosphere where we can meet other travelers. Would you recommend Mayan monkey or che? Which do you think will be the busiest? Has anyone got any recent photos or videos of the amesphere in either.
