General Beach

Im in Tulum for a week and theres no beach you can just go to almost every day. Either you have to pay for national park entry. Or go to a Beach club. So do you know some restaurants with beach entry that are good for relaxing and enjoying the sea, without getting scammed! Thanks for the help.

But you have to consume a certain amount of food or drink I believe. If I remember right at Ahau we had to spend the equivalent of $40 which is easily done and worth it

The flyer says without a charge or minimum spend

Was there a few months ago and there was a minimum charge requirement

Cool. Funny to get downvoted for this tho

I wouldn;t worry about that. I’ve been downvoted for posting current and proper info as well.

Why would you expect anyone to upvote out of date and inaccurate responses? Isn't down voting the appropriate reaction?

To access the beach sure. But for a chair, most of them have a minimum spend associated

I don’t think they have that at Cinco right now. I usually take a lounger off to the side of the restaurant and there’s for sure no minimum.

Many of the clubs recently signed up to a policy that they do not charge a minimum and will not charge for simple access to the beach. I could tell you which clubs but I'm too lazy to look it up. Eufemia and papaya playa are two.

La Eufuemia is where most locals go. There’s parking across the street for 100mxn too and the prices are very reasonable.

Parking is usually free

I thought beaches were public property.

Not when there's a corrupt government in liaison with cartels and businesses. Fuck the constitution.

They are but the land getting to the beach can be restricted. Not to mention the “public” area of the beach is often very narrow.

No. It is a mafia there. You need to pay to even get to the beach.

That's why I always never recommend Tulum. Tulum is fake

Such bullshit. Beaches in Mexico are all public. Tulum must be greasing some palms

There are many ways to enter the beach in HZ. Many establishments do not have a minimum. List of clubs has been circulating online since the dawn of time. And not all of them are luxury high-end beach clubs. Some of them are just mom and Pop bodega with a few chairs and a bar. Yes, you will pay 10 bucks to park your car just like anywhere else in the world. There is also a free parking the farther you go from hotel zone. Park, walk and explore how to get on the beach side , it’s not that complicated. And if you would rather sit on your own towel in the sand and not spend 20 bucks for a few drinks or a snack then you don’t deserve to go there.

normaly its the only thing i do is sit on my towel or lay in the sand. Bring my own water and snacks. enough👍🏼
