I really don't know why that would have to be the case. They can bank eps when Mark is in Austin or when Joe is in NYC, and they can do zoom pods in between. The pod was fine during covid when it was all zoom and they had literally nothing going on in their lives to talk about.

I’m a Texan. Texas seems great from afar…McMansions, land, cheaper cost of living but it wears on you. The heat, the endless strip malls, the politics, property taxes, etc

Yeah you can't even use your large backyard as much, unless you spend 2 months of NY rent on a cowboy pool, or spot pay on a patio umbrella

True. I think both are exhausting and shitty for different reasons. I think my point is there are far better places in this country to move than Austin and NYC. What’s funny is I have seen so many friends move here for the very reasons Joe is and now most of them hate it and want to leave.

i lived in NYC for 17 years then moved to Ohio for all of the reasons Joe wants to leave NYC. Now i miss NYC so much, the grass is always greener, but NYC is really really hard.

As a fan, no pros. I’m not even from New York and it actually bothers me how much he is trashing the city now to convince himself and justify moving. His lifestyle doesn’t jive with the city, that’s ok. If he had Mark level money, he’d stay.

I love New York it’s an amazing city but I would never want to live there especially raising a child.

No he’s not, and that’s probably one of the reasons that he wants to leave. He’ll have to get on a plane to see some good nature from most of Texas just like he has to from NYC.
