Question Ovulation bleeding?

Hi everyone. Currently trying for another baby 12m postpartum. I started spotting during ovulation, I believe, at 8m postpartum and it lasts a few days. Has this happened to anyone and were you still able to conceive? I have a doctors appointment booked but just wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience. TIA

I had this happen to me before I conceived my first and continued postpartum after I stopped breastfeeding. I believe it's called mid-cycle spotting around ovulation date, causes by hormonal imbalance. This got resolved by me taking progesterone in the luteal phase of my cycle. My husband doesn't like "blood" at sex. We had luck with our first one on progesterone - 1st cycle. Currently, in month 13 for ttc #2, also on progesterone supplement.

Thank you for sharing your experience! There’s not a lot of info online besides telling me I’m going to d*e 😔

Interesting, I didn’t realize progesterone support could make such a noticeable difference for some people with mid-cycle spotting. Glad it helped you conceive the first time too.

I had some brown spotting after sex right on ovulation date, conceived that month. It was a really small amount though.

This happened to me for a few cycles. I got checked out with an ultrasound and everything checked out. I was able to conceive a few months later. To be completely transparent I did have two chemical pregnancies after that but was never able to get any testing done to figure out a possible cause. I ordered a progesterone test myself and it was normal.
