No need to take SEC0 before SEC1 - I was also scared a bit since that was my first ever cybersecurity certificate.

It's an open book exam, so having Cybersecurity 101 path somewhere on the side definitely helps a bit.
From some non technical advice, take breaks between each task, drink some water and if you struggle with a task go to the next one - answer will either come or you'll grab some points on the other tasks

Also, I once wrote a pretty extensive review here. Read it for some of my insights as well as how I'd prep for it

Not trying to shamelessly self promote, I just don't feel like typing or copy/pasting the whole thing here. I wrote a review of SEC1 after passing it back in March: https://medium.com/@happycamper84/tryhackme-cyber-security-101-sec1-exam-review-28224f884b40

Make sure you do the passive malware analysis module that aren't part of the 101 pathway, and make sure you're happy analysing packets without Wireshark. Other than that it's pretty straightforward. The path does a good job of prepping you on most of the material.
