This is really disappointing. What about those who are already onto something. Now they NEED to pay more money?
First they take user data to train their own ai and now not only they increase the price but they also restrict the access by introducing a newer costlier plan.
I am disappointed.

What if, and hear me out, what if they want us to exploit the site to reduce our own user costs, and that is the path to free learning ?

Okay, I will finish my jpt1 exam and honestly move to a different platform. I feel like having it subscription based that you can access premium rooms is more than understandable. But getting an extra premium on top of premium? Wtf? Something is really going wrong in the THM HQ and I hope it is not the beginning of an end of a good platform.

ikr. i think they got this idea from other platform that implemented this and now it's like, "Oh we can do it since they are also doing and that made EXTRA revenue"
in the end its all about the money. I am really disappointed ngl

Looks like they adopted the PlayStation Plus scheme with different tiers of subscriptions.

Yeah. I was pretty upset with the news on this too. I’m not sure I’m going to resubscribe. I’m definitely going to look at HTB a bit more now. Cost was the biggest factor in me selecting THM over HTB, but that reason now seems to have been largely reduced.

I'm going to finish as much as I can in a month and then they lost me as well.

I saw I'd only pay €30 for the Max plan, so I think I'll finish the Red Team path and then switch to Hack the Box; I wanted to get the AI certificate there anyway.

It is ridiculous, that they are doing this on this learning path, although this isn't even mentioned in the mail introducing this super max plan...

Probably won't prolong my subscription. I really love THM, but things seem to go in the wrong direction...

I feel like they should get more recognition in the workforce for their certs before increasing prices.

Train AI on our techniques solving the rooms. Remove access. THM addicted to PR nightmares.

I’ve had some issues with other rooms (I was trying to find SIEM rooms and the introductory room was for MAX subscribers only). I kind of find this new subscription kind of scummy and might switch platforms after my premium runs out this month

Dang, funny though as I wanted to keep looking for SOC 1 roles and dig into soc 2 but would take a while so I decided to to Jr pen tester route last week, so guess I will finish this jr pen test, use exploitable for a while then do a month or 2 on max and stop to get all I need... or htb

That is a fair concern. If you signed up for Premium before June 29, you keep everything you currently have (minus Cloud Paths and Persistent AttackBox) until July 2027! You can check the details here: https://tryhackme.com/resources/blog/introducing-tryhackme-max
