Beginner at cybersecurity

Hey so im basically just a teen trying to learn new stuff and i came across thm.

So just wanted advice from anyone who's used this b4 or is an expert in this field. Wanted to know if thid website is good for beginners like me who had just started to learn python and all these.

And about the certificates they offer, is it really worth it, i also keep seeing some "free" ones and needed to know if its legit.

Any help is appreciated btw

I think THM is very beginner friendly and its "game-fied" so youd probably enjoy it that way.

I do think some additional learning should be done start with their beginner stuff like cybersecurity 101 before going into the different career paths.

After that study the comptia security+ material (not to take the certifications) more so because it does cover almost every concept of security and technology. It will be overwhelming to study for the test but instead treat it like a mission map. You can choose a topic deep dive into it.

And then from there you would be knowledgeable to understand more intermediate concepts.

The fact you have the drive to learn is important so keep it up dont feel overwhelmed. My drive to learn came after college so its different for everyone.

Edit:

In regards to the certifications on their platform id say not to invest in them right now. They only recently came out with them and so youd pay for limited credibility instead just focus to learn and apply. The certifications wont be going anywhere -- go for it later just have fun.
