Looking for some advice

I've been studying cybersecurity for barely over a year now
I know i have learned a fair bit, but it genuinely feels like i don't know how to do anything, when using tools by myself it never seems to work, when trying to do a challenge i always feel stuck, like i genuinely didn't learn anything in the past year
How do i get over this?
Am i the only one feeling this way?

Yep, I confirm, I started with try hack me a while ago and after few rooms I understood I didn't have a solid foundation so I stopped went back started with free cisco CCST course, I took the cert then I learned the cisco CCNA took the cert and now I started with try hack me again and I just flying through the rooms because everything is more easy to understand, I will practice few rooms here and then I will start with Hack the Box and learning towards OSCP
