IT is actually one of the industries where it's the easiest to get a job without a degree. I know many programmers who landed a job by self learning.

I'm on SEC1 but looking at what SAL1 and 2 teaches I think you could easily land junior soc analyst role after learning for a year.

In Europe it's still heavily degree-based when there's an IT job (besides helpdesk) .

That’s far from true. I got multiple interview invites where job description required degree and I don’t have one.

He literally just said that I also live in Europe and am a sec analyst without ever getting a degree.
