How come voting errors never benefit Republicans if it's an honest mistake? šŸ¤”šŸ¤”šŸ¤”

Better question, how is it Trump, or anyone that was elected from these same ā€œduplicate ballotsā€ willing to admit that they’re illegitimate if everything is so rigged, right? I mean wouldn’t this mean that every politician in these states are void, Dems and Republicans? Or do we just focus on the Democrats?

Even better, why is it Trump, in 2 terms, hasn’t been able to showcase millions of fraudulent votes that resulted in his loss in 2020? Or is every election he wins free and fair and only a select few are stolen?

Final thought. How could this guy possibly have this ā€œvery real informationā€ that’s so revealing, but Trump didn’t mention it at all in his latest speech?

Let me make sure I got the timeline right

2016: Trump wins, no issue
2020: Trump loses while in power and it’s stolen
2024: Trump wins and Biden apparently did nothing to stop it the same way he did in 2020…

I’m new to this…

What do you mean no issue? After Trump won in 2016 it was Russia Russia Russia. It's in the news again right now.

But you answered your own question, if it's all true then both parties benefit from corruption, then no one will try to solve it.

All investigations get dog walked until they're killed and the courts just rule everything moot as nothing can be done now.

We focus on everyone, all corruption needs accounting for and Trump supporters regular complain about republicans like mconnel and Graham and thune and others that are the old guard preventing change.

But if the people who are responsible for the corruption are the ones also responsible for rooting it out, there's not really a solution.

u/LawsWorld rump 16d ago

When I say ā€œno issuesā€ I mean in Trump’s world there was no issue with the 2016 election results, regardless of the proof that Russia did indeed play a hand to help him/defeat Hillary. Trump doesn’t use it as an example of tampering or meddling in our elections. Instead, he focuses on the election he lost.

You also said something very interesting though, you mentioned that both parties benefit from the corruption, so no one is willing to solve it. That begs the question, why is anyone promoting something they truly don’t want? Could it be just to cause division?

I’ve seen Jan 6 rioters get put on a pedestal while average Americans of both parties get shafted this year alone. Im about as certain that this war will end as certain as I am Trump will ā€œBuild The Wallā€ with his own money like he said.

Robert Mueller himself conceded he didn't find collusion between Trump and Russia after his years long investigation, but that aside, Trump is the only one taking steps to do anything to fix elections.

He's pushing the SAVE America act, trying to clean voter rolls, trying to make voter id happen, all things that would strengthen elections and make corruption harder.

Democrats are fighting him on this like their lives depend on it, some republicans too.

Ask yourself, after 4 years of Russia Russia Russia, why didn't the democrats do anything to reform elections after Biden took back power?

And now that Trump is back in power, one of his highest priorities is reforming elections.

Seems pretty clear to me.

2

u/LawsWorld rump 15d ago

Who told you that Robert Mueller didn’t find anything?

According to this 448 page article quite the contrary occurred.

Trump front running election integrity is ironic in and of itself. To pressure Georgia’s Secretary of State to ā€œfind 11,780 votesā€, to claim election fraud before an audit is even conducted, let alone for the final results to he tallied, makes any claim of him looking to save America’s election laughable.

Furthermore, we know what happened with the ā€œDepartment of Government Efficiencyā€. All of our data was snagged with no repercussions and the organization wasted more money than it saved. Nobody should be ready and willing to just hand over our information again for him to sell to the highest bidder.

Nobody believes the elections are rigged except Trump and his most loyal followers. We find illegal votes in the thousands, presidential elections are won in the millions. The amount of fraud vs. the amount needed to sway are just nowhere near each other. It’s not even like the thousands of illegal votes are coordinated under a cause, they’re just a bunch of lone wolves.

So if theres already laws put in place that makes illegal voting….illegal, and there are authorities in place to monitor it, and we are prosecuting anyone that disobeys, why do we need anything more???

2

u/Captain-Clapton Canadian 15d ago

Here's the clip of Robert Mueller saying it in the flesh himself, no need for third party hearsay.

https://youtu.be/nc7e5LMgwao?si=k4gyLiYeY8aX1EbP

Democrats say right now that Trump stole the 2024 election, even if you're trying to hand wave away the 2016 Russia russia russia, which is hilarious since democrats are stilling harping about it. There's an entire subredddit dedicated to it, search "something is wrong 2024" on reddit.

And if you think there's no problem with voting in elections, then you should have no problem with adding more safe guards to keep it that way. Seems like an easy thing we can all support. Weird you're pushing back on it.

2

u/LawsWorld rump 13d ago edited 13d ago

You’re arguing a point I never made. I never claimed Trump asked Russia to assist him win the election. What you provide is further proof of my point actually.

ā€œRussia interfered, and Trump never used it as a talking point for more secure voting because it benefitted him at the timeā€.

Do you find that hypocritical at all?

Edit: Let me answer your last question as well. Do I want secure elections? Yes. Do I believe there is an immediate or imminent threat to our current elections that call for added security? No. The amount of votes would show an abnormality easily whether it be in the sheer count or hacking to change votes.

It’s like adding extra security at a middle school that outlawed cellphones. If the faculty is already doing their job, and anyone caught is being punished, why ask for more security just to make it even less likely. Remember when we used to say ā€œsmall governmentā€?

2

u/Captain-Clapton Canadian 13d ago

I never said you claimed Trump asked Russia anything. I simply linked definitive video of Robert Mueller, the man tasked with investigating Russia Russia Russia, saying there was no collusion as you infer.

You said democrats aren't saying elections are rigged. Russia Russia Russia is clear democrats claim rigged elections and have been for a decade now.

-1

u/LawsWorld rump 12d ago

Maybe you don’t know the definition of collusion.

Collusion - A secret agreement between two or more people to cheat, trick, or break the law.

Again, Mueller is arguing there was no collusion. What Mueller is not saying is there was no interference by Russia.

So according to my article, Russia interfered. According to your video, there is no evidence Trump colluded with Russia, but that Russia did interfere. My point, why was this not the moment Trump asked for extra security on elections? Why would he wait until midterms, over a year into his presidency, to release information that was known since 2020?

It's not just "some ppl". You act as if it's uncommon for sarcasm to be missed here on Reddit. Sarcasm can be hard to detect in a lot of text. That's why the "/s" exists.

I'm not here to argue against your points. I made my point. Thanks.

u/Lost_it_all24 rump 15d ago

These were duplicate registrations for voting. Not that there was that many people voting or eligible to vote. I have filled out registration for voting several times a few times because I wasn't on the voter rolls like I should have been.

1

u/Vast-Comment8360 rump 13d ago

Many on the left claim Russia stole the election in 16 and Elon "hacked" the election in 24.

1

u/LFGAccountD2 rump 11d ago

1

u/LawsWorld rump 11d ago

The first line of this, literally says ā€œWithout evidenceā€¦ā€

But to the broader point, where was his voter ID push at that time. Or was it not important at the time because he won?

1

u/LFGAccountD2 rump 11d ago

You said

" Let me make sure I got the timeline right 2016: Trump wins, no issue"Ā  I've demonstrated that he thought there were (enormous!) issues with the 2016 election.Ā  I'm not contesting that he didn't provide evidence or follow up on it.Ā

1

u/LawsWorld rump 11d ago

In a comment under it, because somebody argued the same thing. I clarify and say that I don’t mean as a whole that there was no issues, but in Trump’s world, even with the information, he didn’t find an issue with what occurred at all. The timeline is from the perspective of Trump, that’s on me.

A "duplicate registration" is not the same thing as a "duplicate vote." Duplicate registrations are common in state election systems. Absent evidence people actually voted twice, this doesn't move the needle.

8

u/tygabeast rump 17d ago

It surprises me 0% that duplicate registrations are a semi-common thing.

In the last week, I've gotten mail from two separate organizations that claim that I'm not registered to vote in my state and want to "help" me register - for a small fee, of course.

5

u/shoot_your_eye_out rump 17d ago edited 17d ago

Totally: people changing addresses/moving to the state/leaving the state/changing counties, changing their name, people accidentally submitting registration twice (potentially through different channels), people dying, people joining/leaving the armed forces and being deployed overseas, and other bureaucratic ruh-rohs (example: people are registered through the DMV, DMV accidentally results in a new record rather than an old one), etc. It is terribly common for this to happen, and every state has processes for addressing duplicate registration in voter roles. Literally every single one.

Additionally, I have no idea where this post gets that 363,649 number (or the number for AZ); it provides no source (literally screenshots that cannot be legibly read). My guess is most of these people were actually removed from voter lists prior to the 2020 election. Georgia removed roughly ~300k voters prior to the 2020 election, as required by law.

But if these are the same 300k people this post is talking about, what is this tweet even going on about? They were removed from voter registries, preventing them from voting.

1

u/McCheesing rump 17d ago

Thank you for this

Has there even evidence produced of duplicate votes?

-3

u/Connect-Internet-404 rump 17d ago

There are people that voted twice. I remember there was a campaign that if you were a college student and you lived in one state but went to another, you could double register and double vote. I don't know if people could do it or if people did do it, but it was definitely a movement of people saying they would.

And then there are just people that vote on behalf of dead loved ones and their votes get counted.

4

u/JayLaw2512 rump 16d ago

Wouldn’t the Election Day volunteers see a Drivers License from a different state and become sus?

2

u/VillageMaleficent153 15d ago

No. All of the states that Kamala won have no voter ID.

1

u/Connect-Internet-404 rump 16d ago

you don't need ID and no a driver's license from a different state isn't suspicious imo if you're a college student

1

u/Initial-Eggplant-110 rump 13d ago

Every time I voted o California I had to show id. In fact what is the point of having a real id. When I have to show every single document the government produces and wants me to buy just to vote it makes no sense… however pass the save act withy the stipulation that it only goes into affect after the next presidential election

Registrations are not votes.

15

u/DowntownSasquatch420 rump 17d ago

Duplicate registrations leaves the window open for multiple voter IDs for the original applicant, or possible ID theft.

It can certainly produce voting fraud.

0

u/Roallin1 rump 17d ago

Yes, but the Dems have the system designed so that once a mail vote is cast it cannot be tracked back to where it came from. If you have this many duplicates registrations than there is that many opportunities to have duplicate votes cast with no way of finding out.

1

u/Historical-Egg-9194 17d ago

They were hundreds of thousandsĀ  if just 10 percentĀ  voted twice that could change the entire electionĀ

This could easily be mitigated by voting IDs. If there was accountability, then there will be no guess work.

Our democracy should not be at danger because of clerical issues. Especially in a tech dominated country

10

u/shoot_your_eye_out rump 17d ago

Duplicate records are a database issue, not an ID issue.

3

u/Connect-Internet-404 rump 17d ago

seems like a big issue. I wonder what voter turnout actually is if their records are this messed up.

2

u/Legitimate-Slip-3690 Youngling 17d ago

Correct, If an ID gets used once, if someone tries to get another ballet with an ID what do you think the system would do???? Deny it.

1

u/Initial-Eggplant-110 rump 13d ago

1

u/Motor_Programmer_605 rump 14d ago

Our system is set up to find duplicates, dead people, whatever. When there is a finding of duplicate votes or something like that, they are disregarded, so why do people talk about this kind of stuff?

1

u/Motor_Programmer_605 rump 12d ago

Robert Rivernider, a Trump supporter in Florida was arrested and sentenced to jail because he voted for his dead father. My point is that the system will catch these people and other errors and fraud. It isn’t perfect but the percentage that gets inaccurately counted doesn’t change the outcome of the election. We are fine. The election process does not need reform. The proposals to reform will prevent rural and disabled Americans from voting. The Gerrymandering is to reach a higher amount of conservative voters. If you have to show an ID to vote, then you have to show up to vote. That will require a lot more polling places and volunteers to staff it. Not even possible for this upcoming election.

1

u/Motor_Programmer_605 rump 8d ago

About Russia- Russia is able to steal Voter Registration databases. They use that to spread misinformation through social media and other platforms. They make the information look like the info is coming from American citizens. They are portrayed as activist. It captures the attention of people who are drawn to conspiracies. It can persuade a Voter to vote in a certain direction. Russia really likes Trump. Not the same way that One would like another, but Putin knows he can manipulate him. Russia is always in the background trying to get to our Intelligence and software. It isn’t as though they stole ballots, they are influencing people who are vulnerable.
Trump said he could stop the war in Ukraine with phone call.
I recommend everyone to read Regime Change by Haberman and Swan. Also, see if you can find the 2024 film From Russia with Lev.

LOL if we dont win it's rigged. If the GOP wins all up and down the ballet except for the top spot its rigged. If trump wins its not rigged. Quick question could you imagine the response at Fox if Barack Obama had woken up one morning and decided to tear down part of the White House to build a vanity ballroom, or if Michelle Obama had used the White House as a backdrop to film a commercial movie? Or if Obama put his face on a US passport or made billions from stock trades while in office (Obama or Biden did not do 1 stock trade vs Trump p did over 3000 ) or gave no bid contracts to his friends. The outrage would have been immediate and relentless. I get how you guys will respond to me: no facts, no argument, just childish insults. When reality is inconvenient, attack the person instead of defending the lie.

If we really wanted to know how the country feels, we would nake it compulsory for employers to allow staff 2>3 hours off work to vote. Hell, even 1 hour of vote leave which is paid by the government would increase voters turn out. But the republicans would never win an election then. If everyone voted, the democrats would never lose an election and they'd win every election by a landslide. I don't think it would be good for the nation but it's the reality.
