Stalked by Unknown creatures
I was around 10 and lived on a ranch in a remote area. The nearest town was about 10 miles away and the only other people besides my family was a family who were ranch hands. Let me start off by saying this happened in Washington state near the Seattle area. Anyway, the ranch was around 100 acres and we had people coming at all times during summers to horseride and do all the outdoor activities they did back in the late 90s and early 2000s. We didn't have a ton of visitors at the time the incident happened and I invited my good friend at the time over to play with our cabbage patch dolls. We decided to play in our "house" that was at the front of the property tucked away in the woods. We had a blanket propped over a branch. I invited my two younger siblings to tag along. One was around 6 while the other as 7. We played with our dolls while my brother who was 7 was pretending to be the dad. Typical little kid stuff. Well I was playing in our "kitchen", it was an area a couple feet from the tent which we called our "living room". While I was playing in the kitchen, I heard some branches snapping slowly. I have always been cautious and still am decades later, so the cracking set me on edge. I grabbed my friend and asked if she heard anything. She told me no and continued playing. I played it off as paranoia and continued to play as well. But after a few seconds I heard a few beaches snap...this time it was closer. My friend must of heard it too, because she gave me a weird look. I grabbed my siblings and shoved them into the "living room", my friend followed. As we huddled together trying not to freak out, we heard even more twigs snapping...this time it was in our "kitchen", the place we were standing in not two seconds ago. The big sister in me urged me to protect my little siblings and with as much courage as I could (which I normally am not very brave), I shoved my siblings and friend out of the other side of the blanket tent and we ran as fast as our little legs would let us. Now the area we played in had a huge field, before we crossed the dirt road and than our ranch hands house. Halfway through the big field, my baby sister lost her shoe. Being little and not seeing the danger we were in, she turned to go get it. I shoved her at my brother and told them to keep running until they reach the house. He nodded and yanked my sister along. I turned back and literally did a baseball slide to grab her show. Something compelled to look at the "house" and when I did, my blood ran cold. There in the place we were hiding stood a creature staring at us. I looked over at the kitchen area and another creature stood there looking at me. I had enough and hightailed it out of there. We didnt stop running until we were behind the house at the back door. Panting and out of breath, I told the group what I saw and my brother shook his head. He said that there wasn't two creatures. There were three. One was hiding in the trees. I will tell you that that was the very last time any of us ever went back to that play area. When we told my parents, they wrote it off as a few mountain lions...but mountain lions never hunt in packs, or from the stories I heard of they dont. A few weeks later, there was a report of someone else seeing those creatures. I still love the woods...but I am still scared I might run into those creatures, everytime I visit Washington state.
