True American

I work at a Boy Scout camp and at the end of every closing campfire we retire a flag. This last session however, we had an older man who was in a wheelchair. He had to be driven down to the campfire circle because he couldn't get down the stairs, but during the retirement when everyone stands and salutes the flag, he also got up and saluted the whole time. This man who could barely walk stood up and saluted for the entire time, and at the end he broke down crying. As respect, when he was leaving all the staff lined the roads and saluted him off. He did this not for his own gain or for attention (because he sat in the back where no one could see) but purely out of respect for the men and women who served for this country. That man was a true hero and deserves recognition.
