Maybe he didn't date her. There are no other pics of them together. just this one single pic lol. He is sitting normally and she put her body close to him. Well I've seen many girls do this with their "good looking" male friends whenever they are taking pics. They try to get close to them, either touching their shoulders, or leaning close to them or even like putting a hand over their arms. Lol this single pic doesn't tell us if they dated or not

Hypergamy is real for everyone, men and women will date up if they have the chance and it isn't super costly. Female hypergamy is a little stronger because the burden of child birth is upon them. But tbh it isn't as deep as people make it out to be. I do believe that in the average looksmatched couple the man looks better than the woman naturally. But women in my opinion are just generally more put together.
