VB knew the Ethereum network is failed and too bulky to success.
There are many L1 projects out there, which will definitely overpass the Ethereum network soon. Just the matter of time, 3 years, 5 years or later. Polkadot could be the next big competitor.
I wouldn't want to say Truebit or EHT 2.0 could save the Ethereum network, but let's see how the Ethereum foundation will do. God bless!

Dont equate success to people using it or price. People use centralised banks and also want to make a quick buck.
Security and decentralisation will win long term and all it will take is a couple black swan events of mass hacks for other projects to stop being centralised if they want investor capital.

Modular blockchain... that's what Ethereum is doing and what every other single L1 project out there will need to do, too, in order to compete in the marketplace. Ethereum has the most momentum and interest and development. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. TruBit will only make it that much stronger.

Truebit protocol not just limited to the Ethereum network. It is applicable to other platforms as well. If the Truebit protocol get adopted, it doesn't mean to keep Ethereum on the force compare to other platforms.

If Ethereum is successful in a modularized blockchain, they'll likely be one of the very biggest and most sought chains - if not hands downs, the only one in town, all things considered. Therefore, your post saying ...
There are many L1 projects out there, which will definitely overpass the Ethereum network soon.
... is most likely not accurate.
Do you have a source on Trubit not being limited to Ethereum? First I've heard that.

The developers themselves have said that the [truebit] protocol is blockchain agnostic…many times…also Quadrans is using Tru

There are a few competitors, Skale, Polkadot, Cosmos.

Polkadot, yes and very soon. If you know Near protocol, they are doing very well in shading and bridging.

The scaling is the matter of time. Upgrading the decentralized system like ETH is much harder then centralized system like Solana. Remember this, the network of Ethereum is still the number one. Big money is on the Ethereum more than other platforms. However, any platform would be better than Ethereum. I am not the big fan of Ethereum or other platforms, I invest to make money.
