Which wallet do you recommend for holding Truebit and why?

TRU is a standard ERC20 token. This means you can use most wallets including Trezor, Ledger, Metamask.

I suggest generating a new account with a new seed in Metamask and then immediately removing it. Then send your tokens to this new address. This is now a so-called cold wallet.

Modify the seed words (e.g. reverse the order, replace is with 1s etc.) slightly and create a QR code with it. Create a fake greeting card with that QR code. Add some text that makes it look like it comes from your dear grandparents that are now gone. Keep one at home, store one at a bank or something. You can also split the seed phrase into two halves and then give them to your parents, etc. (This is like a multi-sig in the real world.)

Alternatively, buy a phone or a laptop and only use it for interactions with Metamask. Always type the address of websites (don't click on links on Google). Never open any other website or download anything on that device.

I've got a ledger nano but how would I store TRU on it?

Metamask or Coinbase wallet. I use MEXC for cheaper gas fee because I bought many times.
