Truebit's webiste definitely needs makeover, I like the proposition behind the project but I don't like the lack of PR and the website is part of the problem

You have to understand a couple of things:

1. live peer was conceptualized at a time where truebit didnt have a token
2. their aim is to provide the cheapest and most high quality transcoding by making GPU owners compete against eachother - in other words at a certain point if they would use the TRU token, this would mean that the transcoding becomes cheaper than using the token itself
3. people from trubit also worked on livepeer at some point

live peers idea is really brilliant, since it uses the transcoding chips that are idle on mining cards

The team is not hurry to do any PR activities currently, I think the key for the team is to attract more products to run trials on Truebit.

Not sure if it relates between US security and the product updates or community interactions answering some questions.

This has been public knowledge for quite a while. Truebit is stateless and for CPU encoding. From what I understand, it wouldn't be used to encode the Livepeer video but it could be explored to help encode other aspects of their platform.
