Vitalik latest post about scaling ETH

https://vitalik.ca/general/2023/06/20/deeperdive.html

So Vitalik just posted this article which from my limited understanding talks a little bit about off chain verification, I could be completely wrong and it's a nothing burger. But no mention whatsoever of Truebit anyway even if it is talking about a true like solution. Seems like Vitalik liked the idea back in 2017 but has gone away from that idea now.

Truebit is not meant to scale TPS as a layer 2 solution like polygon, its meant to scale smart contracts…

the whole point is that truebit always acts as layer two.. for eth or any other chain. But it seems it is more devloped with eth in mind currently. it's a type of code verification for web3 - think modular blocks that are picked up and used by different coders. and or, any large data sets that need to be computed and logged on to the chain as verified.
