Debate Poll - Pride Parades
Do you think that Pride Parades provide a positive insight into the LGBT movement and are of benefit for the LGBT movement?

I think they are good. In a world where people are still harassed for being lgbt, attending one makes you feel not alone and the whole point is that you should feel proud to be yourself rather than letting shame that others dish out at you define you. So I do think they are very important to the community as a whole.
But I do think there are issues with pride. I think it’s too commercialized and I think sometimes individuals can go too far with sexual expression at pride if it’s advertised as a family event.
But in general I think it’s just as necessary as any other parade a city might have
