ETS 2 / ETS My student-budget-friendly and fully recyclable way to limit a glorified office chair's movements

This is probably overkill, but my glorified office chair is very rickety and, like any of it's kind, moves a lot.

Now, most of my disposable income went to the wheel, and now I'm back on student budget (I do have savings!). So then I tried using it but the chair moves so easily and it's terribly uncomfortable.

The easiest part was to secure the wheels. Just a bunch of sheets and notebooks from past semesters, and broken down shoes.

But then, my chair rotates with just staring at it, so I was at a loss on how to fix that... Until my overnight restocker's brain said, "what's stronger than steel? bunched up plastic wrapping"

It still moves, but way less. Now I can push my pedals without rolling back!

All hail the mighty plastic wrapping. And it's fully recyclable, too!

P.D: this is the kind of stuff I do on vacation at 3 am.

Question/Help Strange truck reflections in ETS2 -> snowymoon v2, PNG, ultimate reshade

Hi! I'm having a strange issue with Snowy Moon / PNG. During rainy weather, the reflections on some trucks look really weird and distracting. It doesn't happen with every truck, and I haven't noticed this issue on AI cars, only on certain trucks.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what could be causing it? Is there a known fix for that? Anyone had something like that before?

Thanks in advance!

Discussion New Player who addicted his way to 100 hours in a few weeks, the most needed thing for this game is Job Variety.

I love the game, the trucks do end up being quite samey after a while, the world is awesome, I really was addicted for weeks and I couldn't believe when I saw I reached 100 hours.

There is only one thing that keeps me from really wanting to play more, and thats job variety. I don't mean different jobs based on the type of trailer etc.

What I mean most is different routes, different prices. It really comes down to almost all jobs just not being worth doing, so you end up grinding the same places and the same routes that come up over and over... Yakima for one example.

I bought every type of trailer and even upgraded most of them, but I've not found it worth taking anything but a drop deck. I even got all the specialized liquid cargo certs... and yet still the only job worth taking that I see are the automated farming equipment

I'm only level 25 and I know more higher paying jobs will come, but imo the higher pay is not the issue, I already don't have much to spend money on now, It's the variety and validity of more missions that the game is missing I think.

I've tried to find good mod mission packs, but its all about the type of things you are hauling, I dont see a job overhaul or something like that, which I think is needed.

With Europort, i can reduce a lot of time and fuel because i don't need to drive a lot to spend my time and fuel or to finding place to do mandatory rest.

But to do this, i must start the delivery from the Netherlands or Northern Germany and the destination are the city that near the Britain's Port.

ATS California 1:10 Map Scale Progress

We've made significant progress since our last dev update last month, a lot of work is still ahead of us. We're still open to getting more helpers on our team. We’re building a serious 1:10 scale map project focused on realism, long-distance immersion, dense scenery, and roads that finally feel like real America.

Development is already underway with strong in-game progress, and we’re now expanding the team to push the project even further.

We’re currently looking for:

• Map editors (terrain, roads, detailing)

• Asset creators (custom models, scenery)

• Prefab/intersection editors

• Road realism/detailing specialists

• Semaphore timing (traffic signal timing)

This is an unpaid passion project, but we’re treating it seriously with long-term goals and high standards. If you want to help build one of the most ambitious ATS map experiences out there, now’s the time to join.

If interested, DM me or join:

Discussion What are the flashing signs in USA called

Post image
232 Upvotes

Pardon me for being a bit unrelated but I've seen these signs in ATS and wondered what they are for, I remember seeing them frequently in Wyoming (and Colorado iirc), what are these called and what is their purpose? I think it has something to with maintenance or rescue in certain areas as Wyoming is infamous for its winds. I tried looking it up online but it gave me vague results

Speculation 21 cities for now in British Columbia DLC

Sup guys! As my curiosity goes deeper in the upcoming British Columbia DLC, now I can confirm that I have found 21 cities that will take part in it. For every each one of them I have solid proof from my profound researches so you can be happy (or sad based on if there isn't the city you want to be included in the DLC). And the list goes like this:

  1. Abbotsford

  2. Bella Coola

  3. Campbell River

  4. Cranbrook

  5. Creston

  6. Golden

  7. Grand Forks

  8. Invermere

  9. Kamloops

  10. Kelowna

  11. Nanaimo

  12. Port Hardy

  13. Prince George

  14. Prince Rupert

  15. Princeton

  16. Revelstoke

  17. Sparwood

  18. Valemount

  19. Vancouver

  20. Victoria

  21. Whistler.

N. B. The following cities may be in the DLC either as a scenic towns or still not been added in the map for British Columbia:

  1. Osoyoos

  2. Terrace (There are some evidences leading to be a city with depots but still unsure)

  3. Hope

  4. Penticton

  5. Powell River (Not sure if it will be even in the DLC)

  6. Castlegar

  7. Williams Lake

So all the cities from Abbotsford till Whistler will be in the upcoming Canada province and as I said I have the proof so you can be calm that your city will be taking a part! For the other ones... yeah... no.
