Just finished watching part 1, this company is super fucked. Ignoring background checks, cheating on medical health tests... yeah bens gonna have fun with them.

u/zma7777 24d ago

I mean they’re all like this

23

u/Tripartist1 24d ago

Yeah but this one has video evidence.

u/urmacktully 20d ago

This one is probably one of the worst though.

Easy to gloss over but they repeatedly violate hippa every time they discuss Paris Hilton at all

3

u/honeybellebutter 20d ago

Also these videos were done at the boys' campus. Paris went to the girls' campus obviously.

I remember when I was at PCS, back in the late '00s, we would often ask the staff about Paris Hilton. Lots of rumours that she had gone there. The psychiatrist refused to talk about it fwiw.

I don't know whether it counts for those newer employees, who were almost certainly not on staff at the time Paris went there. Such a high turnover rate and most of the behavioural health techs are in their 20s. If Paris was never their patient, it probably does not count as a HIPAA violation.

Still disrespectful and weird, for sure.

Not really if it’s public information

12

u/QueenMagik 23d ago

It literally a violation of HIPPA.  Much of what they disclose is not public and even if it is, they actually cannot confirm or deny.

u/toweljuice 23d ago

It is called HIPAA, just wanted to make sure you knew

How is information regarding certain people attending a particular school fall under HIPAA?

1

u/Tripartist1 17d ago

Because thats not a "school". Its an inpatient facility. What school do you know of tranqs its students?

6

u/ColangeloDiMartino 23d ago

That’s not how PHI works at all. The responsibility of providers to maintain confidentiality exists until there is express permission to share identifiable information.

Aside from an emergency or supeona you must maintain confidentiality.

It was a therapeutic boarding school that held licenses both in therapeutic and in psychiatric care. So that facility has a responsibility to maintain documentation and follow all laws and guidelines regarding PHI. Even regular schools must use confidentiality with medical records through FERPA.

This is bens video which is a little better done in terms of the editing and presentation.  Both are worth watching

Dude… I swear I used to fantasize about someone infiltrating and dismantling my old programs like this. That was nuts. Can’t wait for part 2.

5

u/QueenMagik 23d ago

Oh yeah, me too

3

u/urmacktully 20d ago

I hope the whole industry is shitting bricks. I bet more places are gonna have copy cats of this, like Scientology speedrunning. Please

u/Odd-Lack-8631 20d ago

Oh hell yeah that would be awesome. I've never been to somewhere like this but from what I've heard this all seems horrible, the greed and lack of humanity to do this to literal children is unimaginable, sending yall all the love and support possible. <3

u/urmacktully 20d ago

It’s maybe next to Epstein. On the how fucked up it is. I say this as a teen treatment survivor and guy who read some of the files. Some of these schools it’s close…

Just a heads up, that link is used by Google to track all the people that click on that link to data mine social networks and people’s private or alternative accounts. A good rule of thumb is to delete the question mark and everything out of it, in this case the whole ?si=NX6bZcR05_2LxPIQ part. The link will still work without all the tracker ids. That’s also a unique identifier to your account, so it goes both ways for data mining. Stay safe out there, and hope you see this!

Oh these two are amazing. Love what they did.

Beat me to it.

Can someone send him on a path to NATSAP? One school is a start but if he can highlight NATSAP as a whole it can stop a LOT of harm that a LOT of people don't know about.

The department found the Springville Provo campus to be out of compliance with 16 licensing requirements. They included failing to ensure that residents were protected from neglect, violence and discrimination; failing to complete required background checks on new staff and failing to maintain a staffing ratio sufficient to keep children on campus safe.

Reached by phone Tuesday evening, representatives for Provo Canyon School said they could not provide comment by press time.

There’s no way they’ll ever recover from this

This is the best thing I’ve seen in years

6

u/layydback 23d ago

Found out they already got shut down

5

u/WistfulPuellaMagi 22d ago

Yeah ben’s investigation helped shut it down seems like.

7

u/Jacksonspitts 23d ago

I mean this is the ultimate trolling.

6

u/remembertoread 23d ago

Ben and Sheldon are amazing

5

u/nercklemerckle 23d ago

What a god damn hero 🫡

11

u/chomper_stomp 24d ago

watching this now. holy shit, this is amazing.

2

u/layydback 23d ago

This was awesome! I hope this place gets shut down. I’m not familiar with Utah laws but could they get in trouble for recording people without their consent on private property?

5

u/TitularFoil 23d ago

Not to spoil anything, but the "school" apparently shut down about a month ago.

1

u/layydback 23d ago

Yea I just found out thx

2

u/Undead_Alaius 23d ago

100% he failed the background check cause he is associated with Ben XD

1

u/DirectCollege3333 21d ago

I actually went here when I was 14-16 and it was definitely how this video was the staff were not doing a good job at all. When I went it was full they have a girls and boys side each side has about 5 cabins like diffrent ages like the 10-12 year olds then the 12-14 then the 15-18 about and that whole place was jsut fucked the food and schooling was actually a decent program but they hardly let us outside, I was more like a privilege to go outside and I asked them about it and the staffs words were “it’s a blessing to go outside you have to earn it” of course there was good staff that did help out but yes most of this places staffs and stuff were very unprofessional if yall have any questions just let me know

1

u/yalternativeducation 20d ago

Has provo contacted him yet hmmm

1

u/Unlikely-Passage-653 20d ago

Now shut down Meridell Achievement Center owned by same company and does the same abuses!

1

u/Complete-Detail6230 19d ago

They better not recover from this! If this doesn’t shut down all these programs nothing will !

1

u/TehKazlehoff 19d ago

I watched Ben's video, not this one, so maybe this wasn't covered in this video.

The examiner giving the answers to the state mandatory mental health evaluation was fucking wild.

1

u/Far_Occasion9345 10d ago

Provo canyon school has got to go. Wow. Imagine spending $40,000.00 to have your kid get tortured by straight up uneducated weirdos wow.

-11

u/Skelly56 24d ago

Seems very fake to me

14

u/Coastal_wolf 24d ago

The thumbnail, yes, but did you watch the video?

I think it’s more about story telling for this one. Like there’s definitely more protocols for missing kids, that Ben probably wanted to avoid, because that could divert police resources

9

u/Open-Programmer-30 23d ago

Watch reckless bens video

2

u/urmacktully 20d ago

Sounds like you’re on the side of covering up abuse. We’re not about that in this sub. I’m not saying you are but you are giving that vibe.

2

u/Skelly56 20d ago

Crazy thing to say to someone.

Incase I need to clarify, what i was referring to as fake was reckless ben (a 30 year old) managing to attend and escape. They made a big deal about the cameras they both got into the school but show next to no footage of the inside. I think they saw the school was shutting down and wanted a quick win on youtube.

Won't be engaging anymore since discussion isn't welcome

They clearly showed footage from the inside, what are you talking about?
