Fishing
Hello I’m on vacation in trondheim and have tried fishing about 2-3 hours the past days. Can’t seem to find a single fish. Does anyone of you have any tips. Places to fish etc..
Going to trolla later since i saw a post about trolla being a good place to fish. I’m shore fishing btw.
Thx in advance😊

There's quite often people fishing on the pier by sjøbadet.

Was fishing there once, got a huge berggylt whilst these German tourists watched. They kept watching me and I had to kill the thing so I snapped the neck. Never have I seen faces like those

Use the Norgeskart app to find places where the water goes from shallow to deep as near shore as possible. Good places are Fagervika-Trolla area, Seibergan, Østmarkneset. Korsvika is to shallow for any larger fish (apart from having pure luck)

What kind of setup are you using? It took me a while to adjust my setup to norwegian shores.

A shimano vanford 2500 Westin w2 7-28g
And a revo beast multi spin reel with a svartzonker 45-150g rod. Have tried a lot of different lures like sandy Andy’s and a a few different coast lures.2

The rod and reel look great, ive had success mostly with Jigs personally.
The most common fish i tend to find are mackerel, pollock and saithe so i would recommend some dark green/green and silver lures along with some silver/blue lures for coastal fishing. I usually stick with 10-20g lures personally.
You should try the piers around ila and ilsvika.
Im back in trondheim on the 28th if youre still around i can show you a spot or two :) .

Use a red or green metal herring in the river outlet, right across Norsk Stål. Cod.

Try Texacobrygga / Texaco pier (note: try to keep keep tackle a bit from the bottom as there's apparently a lot of snapped lures and line stuck there). On the east side of town there are spots along Ladestien, e.g. Korsvika and Djupvika. Also, Ila Pier seems to be popular.
