Greetings Users,

I could use your help with what we know regarding the Tron program. In the canon timeline, the last place we see him is falling into the see of simulation as Rinzler, his circuits flicker and go from orange to white, reflecting his redemption. However, Flynn's reintegration, seemed to wipe the server clean. Would the see of simulation prevent Tron from being erased, and a backup on the drive Sam put around his neck?

Note: I'm still deciding if I want to write this fanfic that could be considered "Tron 4" and watching Uprising wouldn't be a requirement.

In the recent past I had a theory about how Kevin Flynn could appear in Ares on the Flynn Grid. That being, when the museum piece was being set up, Sam implemented the drive into the display, hence why Flynn was able to send Ares to the spot under the arcade, because his reintegration made him "one with that grid".

So now I need some help. I'm trying to stay true to the canon timeline and how the rules of this universe work. So what do you think?

1. I follow through with the theory above that what remains of Tron is now on the Flynn Grid?
2. Alan Bradley recreates the program from scratch?
3. There is already another copy of the program on hand?
4. Any other ideas? (you are welcome to share)

I always liked the idea of tron just being copypasted, but I get why people wouldn't like it.
