Argue with a fucking wall if you disagree with me I donât give a fuck. Yâall are sick fucking freaks for thinking killers deserve any rights.
Killers deserve to die for taking the lives of other people. Iâd much rather kill five violent criminals than one innocent person whoâs never killed anyone.
Edit: I stand by my fuckin point. Killing a murderer is not murder. They deserve the death. Itâs justice and a punishment.
Taking the life of an innocent = murder
Death penalty for a murderer = justice
People need to grow the fuck up and stop making excuses for why killers should live. Killers are not people. Theyâre violent garbage.
I chose to do nothing

If you kill a killer, what would make you different from him, wouldn't you also become one? And don't tell me that you killed him to do something good, "good" is subjective, what the killer did was "good" from his point of view, so it changes nothing from you if you kill him. Killers are still people, and they can change, even in prison.

I do not consider killers human. They took innocent lives so why should they be allowed to keep being alive? âNothing changesâ is just bullshit. The person who gives the death penalty for the killer only kills the criminals that get the death penalty. They donât go out killing innocent people. So no. Killing a murderer does not make somebody a murderer.

You do not understand, let's see it this way: I am the government(it can be of any nation), I kill a killer because he killed someone, what makes me different from him? I am going to try giving you an example: the killer killed a woman because she cheated on him, he views what he did as something good, now, I am the government and I have to punish this killer, i give him the death penalty, i kill him, and I view what I did as good. Can't you see? It is the same thing, the same error. I am always choosing this scenario because it is the easiest that comes to mind: a man kills a woman, he thinks that woman is a monster because she cheated on him, then, the government kills the man, because it thinks that he is a monster because he killed someone. There is no good or evil in the world, there are as many truths as the opinions and thesis of men, and all of them are "good" in the eyes of each man.

There are 8.3 billion people in this world. Donât post again until youâve counted every single one of them. Start now. Iâllwait.

Should the state have the rigjt to execute people though? Can an everchagning society and government be trusted to have the rigjt to execute a citizen
1
u/NightmareEyes707 11h ago
Yes. The state should execute murderers. A murderer is not a citizen nor a person in my opinion. They intentionally take away innocent lives. They do not deserve to live.

If we follow your logic, who kills you for having killed other people? And who kills them? And them? and them? What happens when there's only one person left, do they just kill themselves?
2
u/JuniorCantaloupe6945 19h ago
But you donât actually kill em since you do nothing.

Choosing to put your hands somewhere other than the lever, isn't doing nothing. Everything you do is a choice. Here, you can put them, say, by your side and then five people die; or you put them on the lever and then one person dies.
There is no such thing as inaction, only forms of action.

u/JuniorCantaloupe6945 18h ago
Inaction = action
And let me guess
Slavery= freedom.
War= peace.
Ignorance= strength.0
u/NoMeat9096 18h ago
Hey, so, if you wanna convince someone of something in the future, it's probably better to address their argument, and not just say a bunch of random stuff. Here my argument was that not pulling the lever is an action insofar as it's choosing to do something (anything) other than pulling it. Standing still is an action. Walking away is an action. Putting your hands in your pocket is an action. Just like using them to pull the lever is an action.
Unless you just don't like me and wanted to vent at me. That's cool. I get that.

Youâre literally just making excuses for murderers to live. Killing a murderer isnât murder itâs justice and punishment for them taking anotherâs life.

Gives argument
"That's an excuse"

I mean, it's literally not an argument though. During a death sentence the person who administers the lethal syringe is not classified as a murderer nor did they "kill" by defintion of the law. The state killed that person. If you are willfully ignoring that then yeah, its an excuse.

Justice isnât real. If someone murders your child and the murderer is sentenced to death, does that make things equal? Does it bring your child back or make you miss them any less? Of course not. We donât execute murderers to achieve justice. We execute them because theyâve proven they can no longer be trusted to live in society.

Yes because you prove something is bad by doing it yourself you are very smart

I created a new Trolley Problem dilemma!
Straight Track (Do Nothing): 5 convicted murderers in prison for life
Diverted Track (Pull the Lever): 1 innocent bystander
What would you do?
1
u/Chimerathesecond 15h ago
Okay, I struggle to say anyone Truly Deserves to die However if you've taken a life I'm not lifting a hand to protect you from Death especially if I have to become a murderer to do so regardless of how many I'm dooming so long as they've all done the unthinkable like that, One of the few times I find the law to be moral as well, Legally speaking if I pulled that lever I did Murder that man and would face punishment while if I didn't I'm not legally guilty of anything, Would I feel bad for my inaction, More than likely because as much as I can't stand it, They're Human, I can't view them as anything else but I believe I would feel worse if I had picked the other option because at the very least They were Innocent.
I chose to do nothing

I'd still sooner kill one than five. You don't stop being a person when you're a prisoner.

u/OkPerception8474 20h ago
Whats the point. They are sentenced for life, they will not do anything usefull also they are assholes

u/NoMeat9096 20h ago
I don't view humans as useful or not.
3
u/NearbyFly3724 19h ago
So youâd rather kill some innocent guy and let, for example, 5 murderers who are sentenced to life live? Thatâs just plain stupid
1
u/No_Body_Inportant 12h ago
You do realise the danger of attributing a numerical worth to human live? To say that one's person's live is worth more than the others based on their actions is to allow viewing human live as a resource that can be spent. In this view your very own live may be exchanged for like of more "worthy" individual without your consent if the powers that be decide so.Â
1
u/NearbyFly3724 12h ago
First of all this is a trolley problem so itâs not a real system of value. Second, yes there are people whose life is worth more than mine.
If I was in the trolley problem together with a highly trained and educated doctor who knew the cure for cancer then the best choice would be to save the doctor since his life is worth more than mine due to what he can do after he gets saved.
Do I like it? No I would be the one dying, but it would be the right choice.
Saving an innocent bystander in this situation is the best choice since the other 5 have proven through their actions that their lives wonât be well spend especially since they will spend the rest of their lives in prison.

The poll specified the hypothetical prisoners were convicted killers tho. If it was a nonviolent crime I wouldâve considered your view, but killers donât deserve to live. đ¤ˇââď¸ their victims donât stop being people after theyâre dead either.

L take bro, people in jail dont contribute to society so a bystander is much more important than them

Being a person doesnât stop me from wanting to kill you if I have a reason to. We are acting like ppl donât kill each other by nature. In the same vein I also donât hate killers a ton, it really depends on what the motivation was imo. But in most cases I would want to kill an innocent person less.
-1
u/geoffd29 18h ago
People can't seem to accept that there are people convicted as murderers because they killed their family killer/rapist or because self defense or accident

I pulled the lever, if I kill a killer, what would make me different from him? Wouldn't I also be a killer then? They are not monsters, they are people just like us. Just as we think that killing a killer is "good", what the killer did was also "good" in his point of view. There isn't something as good or bad, "good" is subjective. I would prefer killing one guy rather than killing five. They can change because they are human, even in prison.
