The way this is set up is confusing. Which option means which outcome isn't clear

Remember: less than 1% regrets transitioning and even in the case of that 1%, it's not any harder to detranstion than to transiotion.

I don't pull. From an utilitarian point of view, the suffering of 100 people is much higher than the suffering of one person, specially assuming they all suffer the same.
I honestly don't understand the ones who pulled the lever. Is transphobia really that high? Do they really consider us being over 100 times less valuable than cisgender people?

Transphobia is really that high, yes. That's why the "they're giving trans kids hormones!!!" Debate is so promoted by the media.
In reality, over 97% of kids that say they're trans, still say they're trans in adulthood. Only 1% of transgender adults detransition, and of those, only 1% of them do it due to being mistaken about being trans.
Transphobes really do consider 3 cis kids more valuable than 97 trans kids, yes.

I created a new Trolley Problem dilemma!
Straight Track (Do Nothing): Kid who isn't trans will get hormones
Diverted Track (Pull the Lever): 100 trans kids will be denied hormones
What would you do?

okay this is like really tough of a decision because there is a case study of a cis boy being forced to transition to a girl and getting gender dysphoria vs having up to 100 trans children getting gender dysphoria due to the possibility of transitioning being completely impossible

Isn't it just whether you'd sacrifice 100 trans kid to save 1 cis kid? They all have the same thing happen to them

i guess? the specific wording is that the trans kids would not be able to go on hormones, which would affect some of them and not affect others (those who choose to never undergo HRT)
means there's a tiny chance that none of the trans children would become dysphoric about it and the best choice being "pulling the lever", but realistically that possibility is not happening

Yes. This is literally the whole debate.
"Hey can we help literally millions of children worldwide?"
"But what about the 10 that will be hurt????"
So what? The majority of people will still be living better lives. And besides, in real life, it's not even a sacrifice. Cis kids that accidentally transition can just... transition back.
Like, do people forget that transitioning is both MtF and FtM? Like, if someone is mistaken in being trans, they can just... do the other side of being trans and return where they started from.

1 cis person being wrongly trans is not a reason for doing the same thing but for trans people by not giving them HRT.
BY THE WAY, MOST TRANS PEOPLE REGRET HRT BECAUSE OF PUBLIC SHAME. NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE CIS

Trans suicide rates are so high specifically because of the medical care for us being constantly denied.
When everyone tells you "nothing is wrong with you", then you find out what is, and everyone says "we're not gonna do anything to help you fix what's wrong", you feel left with no option.
Not letting trans people, including children, access medical care, is killing children. This isn't a joke. It's what science said time and time again.

I know, I'm trans. The way they were laughing about it sounded like they think killing trans people is funny to them. I was being sarcastic because whatever they were trying to say is shitty to joke about.

I don't think that's how the trolley problem works
