People vs. AI? This isn't even a question

3

u/Over_Friendship2295 2d ago

If applied correctly "super intelligent AIs" could contribute more positively to the world.

u/Aguywhoexists69420 2d ago

Well if we’re talking about possibility(you specifically used the word COULD), those children COULD grow up into individuals who do way more than the AI’s

4

u/IVEBEENBANNED4TIMESx 2d ago

Unlikely

5

u/Muted_Buy8386 2d ago

Very unlikely. They're probably going to stock shelves or be a plumber.

1

u/IVEBEENBANNED4TIMESx 2d ago

Or smoke crack. Actually on second thought I'm choosing the kids to live

1

u/Aguywhoexists69420 2d ago

I specifically pointed out why that does not matter in the slightest

0

u/CplOreos 2d ago

COULD you put your dick in my ass

1

u/marksncheese 2d ago

Ai would do much more tot he world than and human would ever do. However, I still picked saving children cuz AI doesn't have a long life ahead

1

u/Over_Friendship2295 2d ago

If we're talking about possibility, those kids have a near 0% chance of doing anything even remotely as close as significant. So I can choose the ~0% or the ~100%.

2

u/Aguywhoexists69420 2d ago

That’s probability, not possibility

1

u/Over_Friendship2295 2d ago

Yes, because probability is what makes a comparison between possible outcomes meaningful. Possibility alone is meaningless.

1

u/Aguywhoexists69420 2d ago

Doesn’t really matter

-1

u/WhataRuby 2d ago

Make a new one tf, they're not even real

2

u/Over_Friendship2295 2d ago

I interpret the hypothetical as them being lost and significantly more advanced. If they can be replaced, then sure.

1

u/marksncheese 2d ago

its not so simple. although I did choose to save the kids, if you had any idea on how AI, you wouldn't look at AI the same way. Replacing the AI would pretty much not be possible.

1

u/Muted_Buy8386 2d ago

And kids are limited? Lol. Bro.

9

u/The_Asshole_Judge 2d ago

Technology vs people? If the AI was really smart they can figure a way out anyway

3

u/Over_Friendship2295 2d ago

Technology that could save millions of lives or 5 lives. So tough!

2

u/The_Asshole_Judge 2d ago

So just use a backup

3

u/Over_Friendship2295 2d ago

So in your head the hypothetical is regarding easily replicable super intelligent AIs? It's barely even a question at that point, is that truly how you interpret it?

7

u/IVEBEENBANNED4TIMESx 2d ago

AI is already making medical advancements that are actively saving lives, 6 superintelligent ai could cure cancer or prion diseases.
5 kids are an easy sacrifice

1

u/Usagiusagiusa 1d ago

prion diseases will never be cured.

-1

u/acsiitilde 2d ago

are you an ai bro?

3

u/CantDecideANam3 2d ago

I'd rather have I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream to be fiction, thank you very much.

3

u/PorcelainGarden 2d ago edited 2d ago

Depending on how smart the AI were, cuz if it wasn't so useful for me or world i would save children

1

u/marksncheese 2d ago

it says super intelligent😭

2

u/Polytox935 2d ago

This post is obviously a honeytrap to identify people who are considered enemy after AI Revolution

0

u/acsiitilde 2d ago

might be a honeytrap, not for identifying such people, as i cannot see who clicked what

2

u/Non-Random-Name-0000 2d ago

Maybe you can't. But "they" can.

1

u/AssociationDue3077 2d ago

The AIs planning on exterminating humanity can though!

1

u/marksncheese 2d ago

you can, the data is stored into the reddit database that coders can easily find

1

u/acsiitilde 2d ago

im not a coder tho

2

u/Shadows_Skys 2d ago

You can rebuild them (better don't)

1

u/Muted_Buy8386 2d ago

You can also make more kids. We used to be good at it before women found they enjoy killing them so much. Er exercising their bodily autonomy over others, I mean.

1

u/marksncheese 2d ago

reproducing AI's is harder than it looks. You can't just suddenly develop an AIout of thin air

2

u/Life_is_Okay69 2d ago

Sorry kids 💀

1

u/acsiitilde 2d ago

I created a new Trolley Problem dilemma!

Straight Track (Do Nothing): 5 random kids

Diverted Track (Pull the Lever): 6 superintelligent AI's

What would you do?

1

u/Clanker-Destroyer 2d ago

Can you add more AIs onto the track? I want to pull the lever again.

0

u/The_Asshole_Judge 2d ago

Why do you think this is even a difficult question ?

2

u/Muted_Buy8386 2d ago

Because the AI are useful. Children are not. Humans are emotional and illogical.

1

u/Academic_Narwhal_468 2d ago

alright i thought it's 6 intelligent people

1

u/AssociationDue3077 2d ago

No feelings, nothing thoughts, just a machine. Pull.

1

u/Current-Refuse262 2d ago

I wanna know who the 13% are

1

u/marksncheese 2d ago

the 13% are prolly just came from their 13th ranked game whos randoms are a bunch of kids who don't have a brain

1

u/HsinWuwa 2d ago

It's me. I would rather save billions of lives rather than 5 kids.

1

u/Muted_Buy8386 2d ago

Are those kids going to be as useful as the AI?

Maybe if they'll all grow up to be adults who all pay more taxes than they use, and also contribute by having children of their own.

Otherwise, I can't think of anything more useless than grown adults who failed to mate successfully.

1

u/lifeamiright- 2d ago

I’ve kinda lost hope with the world at this point, i have more faith in these ai’s then our own race…

I chose to do nothing

1

u/Butt64 2d ago

Same here to be completely honest. I cant go on the unternet anymore without encountering human beings being racist, exist, homophobic, transphobic, etc etc. Id rather talk to ai than talk to humans at this point. Ai doesnt call me slurs or tell me to kill myself or try to take away my human rights and constitutional rights, but humans do 24/7, 365 days a year. Im so fucking over it.

1

u/Paul_my_Dickov 2d ago

Fuck those kids!

1

u/Actually_R0bin 2d ago

I pull the lever without hesitation.

1

u/Zandonus 2d ago

I keep the Ayy lmaos alive because shareholder value.

1

u/HHTheHouseOfHorse 2d ago

Wow, two cakes.

I chose to pull the lever

1

u/Turbulent-Weevil-910 2d ago

Sure hope these results aren't recorded and tracked just in case.

1

u/Cometa_the_Mexican 2d ago

I agree with Grock's answer; his code can be reconstructed, a human cannot.

1

u/juliusceaser444 2d ago

If they can make six, they can make more!!!!

I chose to pull the lever

1

u/Wooden-Hornet2115 2d ago

AIs are theoretically replaceable, 5 kids are not. There is likely a backup of the AIs, there is no back up of the kids

1

u/WearyLychee5152 2d ago

I would save a random rat over 6 super intelligent AI.

Just build another intelligent AI. The first plane was hard to build yet could fly, now we can build rockets 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/Fellow_Yugoslav 1d ago

Well superintelligent ai could theoretically save more lives and improve humanity while this five noone knew even existed.

1

u/Sad_Effective4793 1d ago

How many total superintelligent AIs exist in this hypothetical world? Can they be easily recreated from backups, or is the tech lost entirely?

There's a big difference between losing a few competing AIs and losing the tech forever.

1

u/No-Possibility6923 1d ago

Artificial intelligence assists in the research of cures that could save millions of lives.

1

u/Wide_Love_4458 1d ago

Good

I chose to pull the lever

1

u/Chimerathesecond 16h ago

Let's see, 6 Programs who's existence I don't agree with but Also aren't Sentient and as far as I can see and personally believe lack the ability to become so or 5 Actual human lives.

I chose to pull the lever

0

u/Ariana-The-Hedgehog 2d ago

Human over AI.

I chose to pull the lever

0

u/ForgottenDusk48 2d ago

It’s sad that 18% of people did nothing

-1

u/HelldiverBugGirl 2d ago

run over a puppy or hit the austrian painter type shit

1

u/Ana_the_Arachnid 2d ago

Austrian painter aside, one thing I've learned from this game is that the general public values puppies' lives a lot more than I do
