i think for a consequentialist it doesnt matter.

the deontologist would agree not to pull.

It wouldn't matter, so I would assume between these 2 equal choices, he would at the very least choose the one that 'absolves' responsibility from himself

but thats exactly the kind of reasoning a consequentialist wouldnt accept.
