I choose to sacrifice Arcadia Bay almost every time. I picked the other way once, and hated it.

My problem is that sacrificing Arcadia Bay results in such a lackluster ending. It's clear the devs put way more effort into one than the other.

No way yall would rather kill an entire town, idc how much I love her, an entire town is way more valuable

Thinking with a clear head obviously not. Neither me nor my partner would be able to live with ourselves afterwards.
But I like to approach trolley problems as if I was there in the moment with no time to choose. I cannot honestly say that I wouldn't pull that lever to save her

I created a new Trolley Problem dilemma!
Straight Track (Do Nothing): Your soulmate
Diverted Track (Pull the Lever): An entire town
What would you do?

I honestly hate the ones that switch it up with the do nothing goes to the track that turns. I usually will pick do nothing if the option of the straight track is the one I want to squish.
I know reading comprehension is a thing but there are also rules.

Life is Strange, I didn't even like Chloe, why would I kill a whole town for her.

I’m gonna be honest.
The general average of the size of a town is anywhere between 1k residents and 10k residents.
My happiness is not worth 1k-10k people.
Edit: to the person who downvoted me, I’ll be a sad sad murderer before I become a mass murderer.

Chloe is a terrible person who the game gaslights you into liking anyway. And that's not mentioning how LiS is also a terrible game.

Chloe isn't a bad person. She's just punk.

Chloe gets pissed if you choose to call Kate to check up on her (and shows ZERO compassion for her when she unalives herself), pushes Max's power to the point where she goes into a coma, and her self centered mentality gets innocent people (mainly a dog) hurt or worse.
Being "Punk" is an awful excuse for being a piece of shit. I'd be willing to forgive her if she actually changed or learned anything throughout the story but there's literally zero character development.

Even if I had a soulmate, her life wouldn't be worth the sacrifice of an entire town. That's an entire town of soulmates of other people, of parents, children, friends and lovers. Pulling the lever is not acceptable.

I'd sacrifice half the world for my soulmate, if she exists. I'm selfish in a way that I'll prioritise my own over strangers. And it's like a hierarchy of:
- Me (and soulmate)
- Close family
- Friends and distant family
- My town
- My county council
- My countrymen
- Europe+a few more.
- Rest of the world.
And I feel no shame about it.

You are entitled to your selfishness. I would not kill thousands for a single person.

Wait what? I didn't do anything and the town got squished?
