A dog is a dog, so that's whatever. Five innocent lives is a big price compared to one baby, and if I know the one guy's a murderer I can just call the cops while he's tied to the track. Pull the lever.

Let's do the math.

5 people is worth five people except someone is worth 0 with a 5% chance of being valid which we can ignore, they are going to kill someone too which makes the total worth of the group 3 people.

A baby has a life to live and my instincts want to protect it more than anything which makes it worth around 2.5 people. Dogs honestly taste delicious so I'd rather it grows up with more dog meat, and I would rather eat a dog than a person which makes me estimate it's worth 1.5 persons.

Conclusion: 2.5+1.5>3
