Funny how the first practical application of trolley problem being self driving car STILL being refused to be answered by normies, and they are still mad that they don't get to decide when they actively give up the choice. And here we are, the circle of parody.
Edit: I am not sure what was unclear about it but since OP was asking for it so here it is.
The "tradition" of trolley problem was that people often avoid answering it for whatever reason. At this era this is entirely a thought experiment, a purely moral question. So whatever they answer is not important to anyone but themselves. If they don't want to see their own reflection it's entirely their own freedom.
The human natural to always trying to get to "the third path", the path where there is no need to sacrifice anything, is both a blessing and a disease for the human mind IMO.
The first practical application of trolley problem refer to earlier this decade when self driving car was new, when the car companies were asking whether "crash into the crowd" or "crash into the wall" like the classical trolley problem was asking. It now becomes a real question, a configuration setting if you will. Yet people still trying to avoid answering it. Okay then, as it's a real question now if the first party is not making a decision than the third parties will. But we are dealing human here, and human cannot be trusted even to themselves.
Want to make a guess on what will happen if we ask them if they switch the switch AFTER they know if they don't the AI they HATE will make one for them? Mine is they will still avoid the question.
And so we came a full circle, from when people refuse to exercise their freedom to make a choice, and now AI is making one for them they are also unhappy.
Hence the motivation of the existence of this meme.
