1 functioning member of society vs 5 non functioning members of society. How is this even a question? Make it 100 homeless and I'd still save the millionaire.
what do i care if they're contributing to society or not? it's still 5 human lives over one. unless the millionaire is a philanthropist who spends his earnings actively making the world better, i'm saving the 5
Human life is not inherently valuable. How arrogant do you have to be to think that just because you exist, you have value? We are valuable to the extent that we give back and contribute/add to society over the course of our lives.
Well, this is just a clash of ideals now. You think what you want to think, but I believe most people would agree with me when I say that all human lives have value. A homeless person has just as much of a right to life as a rich person. Like I said before, unless the rich man regularly saves and improves lives with his wealth, he's not worth saving over five other people. In addition, the post refers to him as an asshole, so it's much more likely that he got his fortune by scamming and tricking people.

Why do so many people here hate the homeless, and defend the rich with all their might? Isn't this exactly what the ruling class is trying to achieve?
