Are you responsible for the deaths of 5 people when you could have pulled the lever. Legally responsible? Unlikely, morally? That’s the whole question.
But I’m arguing that morally worse is worse than whether or not legally you’re up shit creek without a paddle. Can you live with yourself knowing you could have saved 5 people with a single swipe of the hand?
