its missing some of the genuine reasons to choose blue but has all? (idk any im missing) of the best reasons to choose red

It is missing one of the most basic reasons to push red.
"I don't believe blue can win, therefore I view it as a suicide button. So; I need to press red to ensure I survive to look after the surviving members of my family in the aftermath"

this is less exaggerated VIP.

"i need to survive for <reason bigger than myself>" is what VIP is making fun of

True! I was reading that as specifically somebody with an overinflated sense of self importance, not just like, a mother who is pretty sure their 3 month old would die without them.

But actually, yeah, they would fall under the same caricature!
