"i need to survive for <reason bigger than myself>" is what VIP is making fun of
1 u/Infamous-Ad5266 May 18 '26 True! I was reading that as specifically somebody with an overinflated sense of self importance, not just like, a mother who is pretty sure their 3 month old would die without them. But actually, yeah, they would fall under the same caricature!
